Why choose a fiberglass monocoque?
A body is defined as a “monocoque” when it is produced using a single mold, without components assembled afterwards. The resulting product is comparable in every way to the hull of an overturned boat in which the total absence of joints guarantees absolute waterproofing and perfect insulation. Here are all the advantages:
• GREATER SAFETY due to a robustness and impact resistance significantly higher than traditional assembled structures. The high flexibility in fact absorbs impacts, reducing the negative effects on the structure and consequently the risks for the occupants of the cabin.
• TOTAL ABSENCE OF LEAKS AND MAXIMUM INSULATION thanks to the absence of joints and thermal bridges.
• MAXIMUM AERODYNAMICS both lateral and frontal. This makes the vehicle safer to drive, more stable, faster with significant reductions in consumption due to the improved drag coefficient.
• EASE OF REPAIR because in the event of an accident it is not necessary to replace the entire wall, as happens in the case of panel-assembled structures, but it is possible to intervene exclusively on the damaged part from the outside in a quick and economical way.
